ICCCER-2024 TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Introduction
Thank you for registering for the International Conference on Climate Change and Ecosystem Restoration (ICCCER-2024), here named “Conference”. Whether your registration is submitted by yourself (or selves) or by your proxy, here named ‘you’, the following terms and conditions, here named “Terms”, pertaining the Conference have to be adhered to by you, and apply to the participation of you in the Conference, either in person or virtually. “Attendee” will refer to any participant at the Conference, inclusive of exhibitors, conference presenters and panelists. By participating, it is deemed that you agree to the Terms of the Conference, so ensure to read them carefully.
The Conference is organized by The Restoration Alliance in collaboration with Moi University, here named “The organizers”, and which reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to accept, limit or deny access to any entity or individual. To be eligible to participate, you must be 18 years of age or older.
1. Registration
An attendee is an individual or group deemed to have duly registered for the Conference. Submission of a registration online, by phone or email, constitutes an official registration and intent to attend the Conference.
- Attendee Cancellation Policy
If you as an Attendee, by change of circumstance, or by will, can no longer attend the Conference, you may write to The Organizers through an email notice. The Conference cancellation policy is as outlined here under;
- The registration fee may be refunded if the cancellation notice is received after the 30 calendar days prior to the start of the Conference (cut off date).
- Further to cancellation, reactivation of registration may only be made 14 calendar days prior to the start of the Conference (reactivation cut off date), and such a reactivation would be at the discretion of the Organizers.
- Cancellation notices received after the stipulated cut off date will not be processed. Further, requests for reactivation of registration will not be honored if made after the stipulated reactivation cut off date.
- Canceling registration does not automatically cancel other booking arrangements, vis a vis hotel and travel reservations. Attendees are responsible for cancellation of such other booking arrangements
- Payments made after the cancellation cut off date are not refundable. Further, the Organizers of the Conference will not be held liable where applications are made after the cancellation cut off date, irregardless of the causes of cancellation, including but not limited to failure to attend due illness, or failure to attend due to effects beyond the reasonable control of the Conference organizers such as an act of God, travel related issues, acts of terrorism.
- Substitution and Badge Policy
Substitution of registrations are acceptable and should follow the following guidelines;
- Application for substitution should be made via an email notice to the Organizers. Such notice should be received 7 calendar days before the allocated date of presentation, and should be from the company or institution affiliated to the registered attendee.
- Application for substitution will only be considered if the substituting registration is aligned to the sub themes of the conference. Such a consideration will be at the discretion of the Conference Organizers.
- Note that substitution may not be possible for certain registration types, including those that are inclined to panelist discussions and keynote speeches.
- Individual attendee badges and/or credentials cannot be substituted, and can only be assigned to registered attendees.
- Institutional/Government rate eligibility
Special rates for institutions and/or government where applicable will be open to;
- Employees of the national government, the county government
- Employees of public institutions of higher learning
Such participants as may qualify for the special rates are expected to present their affiliation identification cards at the time of registration. The following groups are ineligible for such rates
- Government contractors
- Third party affiliations to public institutions of higher learning
- Group discounts
Special discounts will be available to individuals affiliated to one institution, under the conditions hereunder;
- Group attendees are expected to present affiliation identification cards at the time of registration.
- In order to receive group discounts, group attendees should ensure that the registration fees are paid in full by a person appointed by the affiliated institution.
- Payment Terms
The terms of payment will be subject to the conditions hereunder;
- Currency Exchange Rate Disclaimer: Client/Cardholder confirms acknowledgment and acceptance of a potential gain/loss incurred by any adjustments made by their bank due to the currency exchange rate.
- The Organizers will not be liable or responsible for any loss incurred by the Client/Cardholder from an adjustment made due to the currency exchange rate. Nor will the Organizers pursue the Client/Cardholder for collection if that adjustment should be made in the Client’s/Cardholder’s favor.
- Invoices are payable by the stated timeline upon receipt, by email, from the organizers, and full payment must be received in order to gain entry to the Conference and for the associated documentation or pre-conference entitlements.
- In the unlikely event that the Organizers cannot resolve attendee payment issues and the credit card charge is disputed, the electronic statement may be used as evidence that the said charge is valid and just. For attendee credit card charge issues, the Attendee may contact the Organizers to assist with the applicable regional contact location, where possible.
- Privacy Statement
At the International Conference on Climate Change and Ecosystem Restoration (ICCCER-2024), we are committed to protecting all Attendees’ privacy. The information that the Attendee provides when submitting an abstract will be used solely for the purpose of processing and reviewing submission in relation to the conference. We will not use Attendee’s data for any other purposes or share it with third parties without consent.
By submitting an abstract, you as the Attendee acknowledge and agree that your data will be handled in accordance with this privacy statement.
